Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) was developed by Dr. John Upledger, an osteopathic physician and professor at Michigan State University.  CST is a light-touch therapy that monitors the rhythm of cerebrospinal fluid that is bathing and flowing around the structures of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord.).  If restrictions are noted, the therapist uses delicate hands-on techniques on the bones of the head and pelvis to release restrictions and allow for a better pumping of the fluid in those areas.  This therapy can be helpful for colic, headaches, ear infection, jaw problems, sinus issues, and can be helpful in addressing problems with head shape and flat spots on the skulls of infants.  CST sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.  It is gentle, non-invasive, and virtually risk-free.
